Church Center Help

Church Center is the mobile app and related website that allows you access to many important functions for our church.

Getting Started

On the App

Don’t worry . . . these steps are just to set up the app.  You won’t have to do this every time!

  • Search "Church Center" in your app store (available for Apple & android)

  • Download and open the app

  • Click on "Get Started"

  • It needs to connect you to Pleasant Dale, so you can either:

    • Choose "Use My Location" OR

    • Choose "Search Manually" and type our zip code

  • Click on our church logo

  • Select "This is my church"

  • Click "Next"

  • Enter your mobile number

  • Check your texts for a 6 digit Church Center login code and enter it

  • Click "Log in as _________"

On a Computer

Some functions will work without logging in first, but your best experience will come once you've logged in.

  • Click "log in" in the upper right corner

    • If you have a mobile number you can enter it OR

    • click "use email address instead" and enter an email address 

  • Check your texts or email for a 6 digit Church Center login code and enter it

  • Click "Log in as ________"

Home

On the App

On the home page of our Church Center app you can:

  • click to call or email the church

  • click a link to our church website

  • view regular service times

  • our location/get directions

Update your profile information and/or picture

  • click the small circle in the top right corner that has your picture or silhouette

  • click the right arrow next to your name to edit your profile

  • underneath your picture, click update photo to take or upload a new picture

  • review your phone, email, address, birthdate, etc.  You can add/remove/correct any information.

  • When you're finished, click "Update" in the upper right corner
     

Update profile information/pictures for other household members

  • (once you have clicked on your picture in the upper right...)

  • scroll down to "My Household"

  • click on any family member

  • click the arrow by their name to update photo or information (as you did above)

Profile

On a Computer

Update your profile information

  • click the down arrow beside your picture in the upper right corner

  • click "Profile"

  • Next to "Contact Information" click "Edit"

 

On the website you can change your own information and your picture, but not information or pictures of other household members.  Send updated pictures/household information to worship@discoverpd.org and we will update them for you.  

Give

Give

On the App

  • Click the "Give" icon on the bottom of the screen

  • Type the dollar amount you wish to give, next

  • Choose a fund from the dropdown menu

  • Choose a frequency from the dropdown menu

  • Choose a payment method (you can add a bank account or debit/credit card)

  • Select whether or not you would like to cover the processing fee, next

  • Submit your gift by clicking "Give $__ now"

On a Computer

  • Click the "Give" in the menu at the top of the screen

  • Type the dollar amount you wish to give

Check-in

On the App

Check-ins become available 1 hour before each event begins.

On a Computer

  • You cannot pre-check children without the app.  If you don't have a smart phone, you can still check in at a station by using the last 4 digits of your phone number or asking a volunteer for help at a manned station.

Groups

Groups

On the App

  • Click the "More" icon

  • Click "Groups"

  • If you are a member of any groups they will appear at the top of the screen

  • ​You can also view groups that you may wish to join by scrolling down

    • Groups display different information depending on the settings that the group leader chose

    • If there's a group you would like to join, click "Ask to Join"

      • You may type a message if you wish, or simply click Send​

      • The group leader will be notified of your request.

When you click on any group you are a member of you can see:

  • Events - click for more information

    • Group leaders can take attendance by clicking on an event while it is taking place​

  • Resources - your group leader may add resources they would like you to see. 

    • The weekly sermon questions for Sunday School classes are posted here.

  • Messages - some groups have group messaging enabled​

  • Members - some groups show names, photos and/or contact information for group members

On a Computer

  • Click "More" in the menu at the top of the screen

  • Click "Groups"

  • Everything listed for the app is also available on the website, except that messaging is not an option.

Events

Events

On the App

  • Click the " Events" icon

  • Any upcoming events that you can register for will appear

  • Click the event you are interested in.

  • Scroll for event details.

  • Click "Register" to register

  • Select the people from your household who wish to attend the event and then proceed to complete any additional information needed for registration.

  • For events with associated costs, you are able to pay online if you wish.

On a Computer

  • Click "Events" in the menu at the top of the screen

  • Everything listed for the app is also available on the website.

Directory

Directory

To protect everyone's privacy, access to the church directory is by invitation only. 

If you need an invitation, contact Julie at worship@discoverpd.org.

By default, none of your information is shared. 

When you receive the invitation you will be able to select what information you would like to share.

On the App

  • Click the "More " icon

  • Click "Directory"

  • If you haven't shared any information yet, click "Share Now"

    • Select any of the information you are willing to share​

    • If there is more than one person in your household, you will also be able to add a family photo. 
      (This is helpful when others view the directory by household.)

    • If you don't have any information listed to select, you first need to complete your profile information

  • When viewing the directory:

    • Click the person icon to show a list of individuals

      • Click the AZ icon to change how it is alphabetized (by first or last name)​

    • Click the house icon to show a list by households

    • Click any person or household to see more information

On a Computer

  • Click "More" in the menu at the top of the screen

  • Click "Directory"

  • If you haven't shared any information yet, click on "Share it now" in the blue strip at the top of the page​

    • Select any of the information you are willing to share​

    • If there is more than one person in your household, you will also be able to add a family photo. 
      (This is helpful when others view the directory by household.)

    • When you are finished click "Join Directory"

    • If you don't have any information listed to select, you first need to complete your profile information

  • When viewing the directory:

    • ​Use the dropdown menu to select if you want to view the list by household or by person

      • When viewing by person, use the other dropdown menu to change how it is alphabetized (by first or last name)​
